Missed Connections: Guy at Bar - 20 (Red Lobster on Broad )
I was the girl your were sitting one seat over from at the bar at red lobster tonight I think your cute but we were interrupted and didn’t get a chance to exchange numbers.

There really is nothing hilarious or overly-funny about this missed connection.
There is, however, something hilarious about the mental image of a man sitting alone at the bar at Red Lobster.  I’m imagining him with a rail whiskey and a side order of hush puppies.
Then a beautiful young woman saunters in alone wearing a red dress and sits a few seats away at the bar.  The faint odor of her perfume hits our masculine hero and he is immediately captivated.  He looks up from his whiskey and puppies, and makes eye contact at the Red Lobster beauty just a few short feet away.
He smiles at her and pops another hush puppy in his mouth as she orders a Berry Mango Daiquiri and a plate of Coconut Shrimp Bites.
Confident and self-assured, he says to her “You know, I’ve been coming here to this bar five nights a week for several months now, and I’ve never seen you here before.  What brings you to Red Lobster?”
She shyly laughs, and replies “Well, I saw an ad on TV for these Coconut Shrimp Bites and I just couldn’t resist.”
He gives her a smoldering look, pauses, and says “I’m glad you couldn’t.  They’re to die for.”
It feels like the temperature in the Red Lobster has gone up 20 degrees just in that moment.  “Is this him?” she wonders to herself, “.. the one I’ve been waiting for?”
Suddenly his cellphone rings and he jumps slightly, startled.
He answers, “Bruce here.”  A short pause.  “My God.”
He quickly gets up from his seat and throws down a single $100 bill.
He looks at her, his previously cool demeaner lost, his composure gone.  “I.. I.. have to go.  I’m sorry.”
He walks briskly out of the bar and into the humid night air.
She never sees him again.

 this is very romantic.
